CBD: It's Just A Part of The Puzzle

It’s the third quarter of 2019, and CBD is still firmly in the center spotlight of the health and wellness stage.

If you’ve experienced the benefits of high quality CBD oil for yourself (or maybe you’ve just been reading up on our blog), then you know its popularity is something to be thankful for. CBD really does have the potential to help millions reach a better way of living and attain a higher level of health!

But here’s the thing: CBD doesn’t provide the whole picture.

It contributes a vital piece to the puzzle that is overall wellbeing, for sure. But without the other “pieces” of a health-conscious lifestyle, CBD is sorely lacking context. We’ll look at a practical example of this next...

CBD, and Why It Shouldn’t Be Used As A Band-Aid

According to the CDC, over 100 million Americans are diabetic or prediabetic. They likely got that way through some combination of:

  • poor dietary choices
  • inactive lifestyles
  • circadian mismatches
  • and genetic/epigenetic factors

Acknowledging this, can a lack of CBD or hemp be blamed for causing anyone’s diabetes? Probably not.

In the same way, a surplus of CBD or hemp shouldn’t be seen as the diabetic person’s sole solution. Because while CBD may quickly restore the markers associated with diabetes — things like insulin sensitivity and glucose tolerance — simply adding it onto the lifestyle that made a person diabetic in the first place doesn’t make much sense.

Can you guess why CBD oil products are loved so much? Largely because — whether one realizes it or not — they help regulate and rebalance the endocannabinoid system (ECS).

But CBD isn’t the only thing to help regulate the endocannabinoid system. Additional ECS-boosters include:

  • good dietary choices
  • active lifestyles
  • circadian rhythms
  • and genetic/epigenetic factors

In other words, CBD and other healthy lifestyle choices deliver many of their benefits through the same shared pathway. And that means they work best together!

CBD, and Why It Should Be Used As A Catalyst

It’s been (incorrectly) claimed in the past that cannabis is a “gateway drug”...but we think CBD should be viewed in a different sort of light. If anything, CBD might just be the gateway towards a life powered by nature.

It’s a perfect companion to that critical first step towards wellness, the initial, internal decision to change. Indeed, research has shown that the benefits of cannabinoids begin in the mind. Cannabinoids may help motivate us to exercise, empower us to think differently, and demotivate us to use addictive substances. On a deep-yet-broad level, CBD may play a crucial role in rewiring one’s brain.

Are you tired of not feeling healthy? Have poor sleep or sugar cravings or back pain held you back? If so, do everything you can to set yourself up for future success — and then amplify your other good choices with CBD. Consider using CBD to find a new and improved mindset, as so many people already have.

If you haven’t yet tried CBD oil for sleep, anxiety, or other issues, there’s never been a better time to begin. And if the earlier example resonated with you because of your own blood sugar issues, there’s also a real possibility that CBD will help your health improve. When synergized by a holistic lifestyle, you might be surprised at what CBD can help you accomplish!

CBD’s just one piece of the puzzle, yes...and one we still have much to learn about. But because of its incredible impacts on the body and mind, CBD probably makes piecing everything else together that much easier.
